Valves

Valves

Micropumps form the tangible heart of our performance. A performance that is extended by necessary components, such as valves, to achieve full system functionality.

That is why we offer these in addition to our various micropumps. Like for example our own developed passive check valves. Additionally, we have three partners that offer you a variety of active valves:

  • BMT, manufactured by Takasago from Japan.
  • memetis valves by themselves or in combination with the evaluation set coming from memetis

With these valves you can switch your microfluidic system at will, as well as quickly and easily set up. Add the advantage of active monitoring and make regulation possible. Thus, you can quickly and easily make your microfluidic system intelligent and miniaturized.

Bistable valvebundle

Bistable valvebundle for microfluidic systems

The ultracompact 2/2-way media isolated bistable (BV1101) from memetis enables complex fluidic systems with very low power consumption. It is perfectly suitable for fluidics in life science and other small but complex fluidic applications. We cooperate directly with memetis GmbH.

Combined with our mp-valvedriverM it facilitates the use of the Memetis valve and enables a quick integration in e.g. embedded system or your microfluidic set-up. The mp-valvedriverM is a small, easy-to-use driver circuit designed for one bistable BV1101 or one or up to two normally-closed shape memory alloy valves as accessory for the mp6 series micropumps.

Technical data mp-valvedriverM:

  • Dimension: 16 x 40 x 1.6 mm
  • Power supply: 4.5 – 5,5 VDC
  • Stand-by current: 10mA

Technical data valve:

  • 2/2-way, bistable
  • also available as normally closed
  • Actuator: shape memory alloy
  • dimension: 20 x 5 x 10.1 mm
  • material: PEEK Housing, Silicone Membrane,
  • power consumption: 0.17 J per switching operation
  • switching time: 0.04 s / 0.13 s @1 bar

An almost silent and low power active valve from the company Takasago. We cooperate with the German representative BMT.

Combined with our mp-valvedriverT it facilitates the use of the Takasago valve and enables a quick integration in e.g. embedded systems or your microfluidic set-up. The mp-valvedriverT is a small, easy-to-use driver circuit designed for one or up to two Takasago SMV-2R-BN1F shape memory alloy valves as accessory for the mp6 series micropumps.

Technical data mp-valvedriverT:

  • Dimension: 16 x 40 x 1.6 mm
  • Power supply: 4.5 – 5,5 VDC
  • Power consumption: approx. 0.70 mA at 5 V (use of one valve)
  • Stand-by current: 10mA

Technical data valve:

  • normally closed
  • Actuator: shape memory alloy
  • 2/2-way valve
  • dimension: 4,0 x 18,4 x 19 mm
  • material: FPM, EPDM, FFKM, PPS, PEEK
  • power consumption: 0,3 W
  • switching time: 600 ms

Gas valvebundle

Gas valvebundle

The Gas valvebundle features a solenoid valve by our partner Festo. The valve is a 3/2-way valve that is not media separated. That is why it is best suited for applications with non-corrosive gases.

The solenoid valve has an exceptionally fast switching time of only 6 ms when switching off and 13 ms when switching on. It has an operating pressure from -1 bar to 7 bar. The valve is able to withstand up to 70% humidity and media temperatures between 5 °C and 50 °C.

Technical data mp-valvedriverS:

  • Dimensions: 17,78 x 15,24 x 1,6 mm
  • Power supply: 11,5 – 12,5 VDC (12 V recommended for optimized performance)

Technical data valve:

  • 3/2-way valve – normally closed (not media separated)
  • Dimensions: 6 x 42.8 x 15.5 mmÂł
  • Operating temperature range: 5 – 50°C
  • Material PBT, Steel
  • Switching time: <13 ms

Solenoid valvebundle

Solenoid valvebundle

The Solenoid valvebundle features a solenoid valve by our partner BĂĽrkert. The valve is a 3/2-way valve and is media separated. It is best suited for applications with liquids and gases that require a very fast reaction time.

This solenoid valve has a reaction time of only 3 ms. Additionally, the switching is almost non-audible (< 20 dB). The valve also offers a high chemical resistance. All of this means that the valve has a wide range of possible applications.

Technical data mp-valvedriverS:

  • Dimensions: 17,78 x 15,24 x 1,6 mm
  • Power supply: 11,5 – 12,5 VDC (12 V recommended for optimized performance)

Technical data valve:

  • 3/2-way valve – normally closed (media separated)
  • Dimensions 9 x 44.8 x 40 mmÂł
  • Operating temperature range 5 – 50°C
  • Material EPDM, PEEK
  • Switching time Ca. 3 ms

mp-cv

The passive check valve mp-cv prevents the medium from flowing back when the pump is switched off.
