In mid 2012 Bartels Mikrotechnik has launched its new micro pump build out of Poly Propylene (PP) based on the micro pump platform of the mp6. The only material in fluid contact in the new pump is PP with the main advantage of a better stability against a variety of solvents allowing a wider range of applications as the micro pump mp6. This development has been especially driven by customer applications in the area of analytics as flow analysis, gas analysis, spectroscopy, chromatography and micro reaction technology. Other applications include for example fuel cells or the ink and fragrance industry. Particularly customers wanting to pump concentrated alcoholic solutions will benefit from the mp6-pp.
As the new micro pump is based on the mp6 platform it is also a double actuator pump and the flow performance characteristics is similar to the mp6. The spec list can be found on the right.
Presently the mp6-pp is produced less automated but for larger quantities it can also be transferred into serial production.
