Fluidic MusclesWorking for a supplier of the automobile industry, Bartels microEngineering has filed a patent application for an adjustment mechanism tilting larger components. The mechanism uses the principle of so called "fluidic muscles". When these "muscles" are being filled with a fluid, they deform in such way that they exert a force on other parts. For a customer in the sector of personal care, a modified version of this principle has been realized for a microfluidic vibrating element. Further applications have already been conceived and comming to realization on behalf of our customers. Contact us to discuss your application. |
